this a great new manga/anime that just came out and so far, i’m loving the story
in the past three years of basketball history, there was a “generation of miracles” consisting of middle schoolers at teiko (did i spell that right?) middle school and all five were prodigies. but there was supposedly a sixth phantom member that was thought of as the best player by the other five members. so now, with the new school year, all the members of the “generation of miracles” have gone to their own prestigious high schools. at a certain school, the sixth player joins the basketball team and instead he’s weak and extremely easy to miss.
there’s a lot of humor, sports, and the art is amazing (for all the shoujo lovers out there, all the guys are good looking) so shounen people: you should watch this
if you haven’t noticed from all my other posts, i love mangas that have a strong female character. this manga is no exception
it’s about this girl named Onda Nozomi who is amazing at soccer (football) and she can keep up with the male players at her school’s soccer team but soccer is a very physical sport and since she’s a girl, things are tough. but she’s determined to play in an official match and uses all her tactics to try to get the coach to agree.
if i make the manga sound like she does something illegal, she doesn’t. it’s nice to see a girl try to be equal to guys so definitely read try this
to all those who love a good manga about modern kendo and samurai, you’ll like this.
in this society, people who are direct descendants of samurai can openly carry around swords and in a city, there’s a swordsman called Shiroyasha who is defeating strong swordsmen so strong swordsmen come to city to hunt down shiroyasha (they weren’t really clear about the whole shiroyasha part in the manga but it’s just implied that). then there’s Ibuki, a descendant of a samurai but has a very strong sense of justice. when he sees the mysterious transfer student, kokonoe, fight one day he realizes kokonoe is shiroyasha and starts to get to know him better. after figuring out that they are both fans (maybe not fans but if i said they were believers it would sound like a cult) of a kendo instructor who was slandered two years before, they team up and try to discover the truth.
the manga really has a lot of potential so if you like action and kendo, read this
